Talkin' About Racin'!!!
If you can't be racin'... why not do some bench racin' with us? This a project I've wanted to do for at least
five years and this year I intend to have some fun with it. I have room for it in my garage and have converted
part of it to three stage sets. We will interview guests at the track but we will try to bring a number of guests
to the studios. As I do track highlights, I'll be using the studio as a base of operations so you'll be seeing
it a few times this season. I'm always looking for serious and dedicated help as the season begins. Drop me a note
if this looks like something you might be interested in trying.
Of course, video highlights will always be included when we have them. I'll be doing some shows so when we have those
dreaded rainouts, we still have some thing new to see. Broadband is just plain necessary to watch this program. I'm sorry
not all of you have broadband but it is kind of like when color TV came out. At first, not very many people had it but
within a few years, more than half of the country had color TV. Right now, about 58% of all Internet users have broadband
and that number is growing everyday. For my older readers, the Internet is about where television was in 1964 so the
best is yet to come! I'll do my best to help you folks with dial-up by making three different versions
of the show so it will load faster for you... but I make no promises. I may also just make a audio version of the show,
sans the video highlights so you can at least listen to it. Time will tell!
As I've said elsewhere, Crystal Motor Speedway will be my main focus,
but as the season gets rolling, so will I. The Great Lakes Outlaw Modifieds (GLOM) will be a main focus for the show as well. This traveling series is based on a modified
chassis, basically any old motor you can toss in it, and a great big Lexan sideboard. I've been working with the series
promoters and I think this series will provide us some great video.
As I said... I intend to have some serious fun with this. Watch for running sight gags, standing jokes, and what ever else
we can cook up to make you want to watch every week. I hope you will enjoy this as much as I intend to enjoy it. Life
is short and a little fun is good for the soul! The first episodes will be up soon.
